Our commitment

Jess & Co. Real Estate is committed to making jessicaberchtold.com usable for everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, and keyboard navigation. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we work to improve the experience for all visitors on a regular basis.

Conformance status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we apply many Level AAA enhancements — including 7:1 contrast for body text — wherever practical. “Partially conformant” means some parts of the content may not yet fully meet the standard, generally due to third-party components noted below.

Measures we take

  • Semantic HTML landmarks and a logical heading structure on every page
  • Full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators
  • Color contrast that targets WCAG 2.1 Level AAA (7:1) for body text
  • Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images
  • Accessible names and labels on links, buttons, and form fields
  • Responsive layouts that reflow for zoom and small screens
  • Respect for reduced-motion preferences in animations

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible:

  • Property search and listing pages are powered by a third-party IDX provider (iHomefinder); some widget interactions may not fully conform to AAA.
  • Embedded Google Maps and downloadable guide PDFs are provided by third parties and may have residual accessibility gaps.
  • Our lead-magnet guide pages are hosted on a third-party platform (Frontdoor / ActiveCampaign) outside our direct control.

If any third-party content prevents you from completing a task, we will provide the information or assistance you need through another channel — just reach out.

Compatibility

The site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge) and common screen readers. It relies on JavaScript for some features; we aim to keep core content and contact options available regardless.
